Push Pull Workshop

Are Pull-ups, Chin-ups and/or Push-ups eluding you? Do you need a plan or more ideas on how to get stronger to either get your first pull-up or push-up, or perhaps to string multiple reps together. We can help with our Push Pull Workshop led by our specialist gymnastics trainer Jo Rogers. Read on!

Workshop Length: 1.5hours
Level: Beginners through to Intermediate
Who Can Attend? This workshop is open to CF Flourish members and non-members.
Content: If you have never done a pullup before, this workshop will equip you with appropriate skills, techniques and a plan to advance your progress. If you have already got some pullups established we will tweak your performance and move you on to the next level appropriate for you (eg strict, kipping, butterfly), chest to bar, bar muscle ups and other pulling movements on and around the bar.
Similarly with pushups we will work on strength and skill development, providing a plan for both beginners and intermediate athletes to take their pushups to the next level. If your pushups are fairly well established start exploring other pushup variants including planche, deficit, plyo, one arm/leg and so on.
Trainer Bio: Jo Rogers is our resident expert gymnastics trainer. She has extensive experience both as an athlete and as a coach in gymnastics and has a great eye for detail in identifying limiting factors in athlete performance. She has been a professional acrobat and dancer and very successful competitor in the sports aerobics scene early on in her fitness career. She has also had a stellar career as a professional bodybuilder both Nationally and Internationally and now assists others with stage preparation and choreography around Australia.
Class Limits: Minimum 4, Maximum 15
Cost: $20 per person for members, $25 for non-members
