Getting Started with CrossFit at Flourish
We offer 35 hours of group CrossFit classes each week that you can choose from. For a full schedule of all of our class times please check here. If you haven’t done CrossFit before you will need to complete our Introductory Course first (read more or watch the video below). Experienced CrossFitters can join us via a free Test-Out (more details down the page).
CrossFit Introductory Course (Elements)
Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to CrossFit Flourish is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in our regular CrossFit classes or continuing on with Private Training. These are our Introductory or Elements classes and consist of 5 sessions. As you work through the five Elements sessions you will learn about the correct form for basic, functional CrossFit movements. We also introduce you to some core nutrition and lifestyle concepts and provide course notes. While introductory in nature, you can be sure that each Elements session will provide you with a good workout suited to your fitness level.
The Elements classes are one-on-one sessions conducted at times that are convenient to you across a 2 week period. You can commence your Elements course at any time. The cost for Elements is $200 which includes the 5 elements classes, PLUS a free week of Unlimited membership which will transition you into the regular CrossFit group classes. Elements can also be undertaken with a friend/s with the cost reducing to $165 per person.

If you are already familiar with CrossFit methodologies and have trained in another location, you may be eligible for our Test-Out option. During the Test-Out session our trainers review your knowledge of the foundation CrossFit movements (particularly the Olympic lifts). If you are able to demonstrate competency in CrossFit movements, you may wish to consider this Test-Out opportunity. The weight you can move in a test-out session is unimportant (you can use a broomstick) as we are just looking to see that you can perform the lifts safely and that it is apparent that you have lifted before. There is no charge for a Test-Out but we do ask that you request an appointment with us via our “no-sweat” intro appointment diary.
Private Personal Training
If you have specific goals or prefer to workout in a one-on-one setting we can offer private personal training based on the CrossFit methodology. If you undertake a private personal training programme with us, you may also become eligible to participate in our group CrossFit classes at the discretion of your Trainer.
